While in Western New York, My search for local sodas came up with two brands. Loganberry and Johnnie Ryan. Johnnie Ryan has been around for a long time. From their website: In 1935, the Janik brothers (Stephen, Walter and John) founded the Johnnie Ryan Bottling Company in Niagara Falls, New York. Taking pride in their soft drinks and only using the finest ingredients available, quickly made Johnnie Ryan beverages a hometown “family favorite”.
Any soda that’s been around since 1935 has to be good right? Johnnie Ryan has a number of flavors but I’m staying true to my “real men drink fruity drinks” mantra and tried out their Black Cherry Soda.
